Ladies, can you imagine being able to tell a dude you're not in the mood without saying anything, while simultaneously helping the elderly cross the street? You could if you were the Lake Eyre lady dragon, an animal that can turn orange on a whim.

When reproductively active, the lizards develop bright orange patches on their stomachs, and when they don't want to mate they just roll over onto their backs and lay there. Since male lizards haven't figured out the missionary position yet, it lets the fellas know, "Sorry, not tonight." As an added bonus, predators like birds don't recognize bright-orange-spotted things lying on their backs as food.
